Team Fencing

Want to train hard, compete locally, nationally, and internationally, and/or advance more rapidly with your fencing than one practice a week allows?  Windy City Fencing offers three different teams for various age groups and skill levels. Taught by Tsanko Hantov and Windy City Fencing. Fencers must be approved by Coach Tsanko to join Fencing teams. All team members are expected to provide their own equipment.

FEN-801 Gold Team
Ages: 13-18

Gold Team members are typically high-school-aged fencers or older with some experience, who are preparing to compete in local, regional, or national tournaments.

Gold Team members have group practices four times each week.

FEN-802 Silver Team
Ages: 10-14

Silver team members are typically 10-14 years old, and compete in some local or regional (and, depending on interest, national) tournaments.

Silver Team members practice three out of four practices available per week.

Silver Team members who are ready add one or two private lessons a week and to compete at regional and national tournaments will be invited by the Coach to join the Silver Team Elite Team.  Elites will have an extra half hour of booting from 7:00-7:30 on Thursday nights in addition to their private lessons.

FEN-803 Bronze Team
Ages: 8-10

Bronze team fencers, typically 8-10 years old, are students who wish to have more than one practice each week.  Some Bronze team members compete in local and out of town  tournaments.

Bronze team members practice two out three practices available per week.
